Training for Artists & Healthcare Providers

The Healing Arts Initiative is committed to advancing the field by offering education, training and networking opportunities for both artists and healthcare providers.

The Initiative holds an annual convening for multidisciplinary healthcare providers, arts and healthcare leaders and artists committed to sharing 'best practices' and working together to advance the field of healing arts. The annual convening includes exhibitions, performances and demonstrations in which artists and healthcare providers have opportunities to network, exchange ideas, join in panel discussions and view presentations of successful art and healing programs. Master artists conduct interactive demonstrations of arts residencies, such as dance, music, visual arts, writing and showcase exemplary work completed with staff and patients at participating healthcare sites.
